Some Misoperation of Damaged Monofilament Extruder

Aug. 16, 2019

What I want to explain today is what some of the misoperations of the damaged monofilament extruder are.

Misoperation 1: The compression ratio of the drawing process surface is too large

If the compression ratio of the drawing process surface is too large, it may cause cracks or breakage of the mold. This is because in this case, it is impossible to lubricate the material in time. On the contrary, if the temperature rise is too high, some materials on the surface of the mold will be removed, and the stress on the microcrystalline structure will be greatly increased, making it more prone to cracks or breakage.

Misoperation 2: Uneven annealing during operation

When using a round filament extruder, if uneven annealing occurs, the hardness of the filament will be uneven. This situation will easily cause fatigue loss of the diamond filament drawing die prematurely, resulting in an annular groove accelerating die hole. The wear and tear ultimately affects the product's effectiveness.

Misoperation 3: The surface of the Filament is rough, the surface is adhered to oxide layer, sand or other impurities

This situation is mainly caused by excessive wear of the mold, so we must first check the surface of the filament before using the monofilament extrusion plant. When the filament passes through the die hole, the hard, brittle oxide layer and other adhering impurities can cause the filament die hole to wear quickly and scratch the surface of the filament like the abrasive.
