Precautions for cleaning and changing color, changing screw and mould

With the diversity and diversification of products, the color of products is becoming more and more rich. The conversion between different materials and between different colors results in a long conversion time and a lot of waste products, which causes a lot of confusion for production management and operation. Here are some ideas for your reference.

1. Clean the outside of the equipment first and then the inside. Clean the original raw materials without dead corner between the conversion of different materials and color change. Especially for the places that are not easy to clean, blow clean the places that are not easy to clean without dead corner. The residual materials in the screw and barrel must be squeezed and emptied first, and the complex equipment and mould shall be removed and cleaned if necessary.

2. If cleaning agent is put into cleaning after cleaning, if the material to be produced is not extruded due to the temperature rise of the machine, the product can be put into normal production if the color is normal. If not, follow 1 above.

3. Some experiences for reference

a. For example, a pair of the same mold can be configured for frequent production conversion of different materials and colors. The mold is difficult to clean, which can save time and materials.

b. For the same material with different colors, it can be modified at the feeding port, using color masterbatch production, and trying not to use color powder production. It can reduce the influence of different links on color.

C. Co extrusion can be used to change the appearance and color of products, which can also reduce the trouble of conversion.

d. For the conversion between materials, if conditions permit, products and equipment that produce the same series of materials shall be used, that is to say, PP materials and equipment shall be made, other products of PP materials shall be made as far as possible, and PE products shall not be made. Otherwise, the product performance will be affected due to uncleanness.
