How a PA Fishing Line Extrusion Line Works

The line converts PA6/PA66 resin pellets into uniform, high-tenacity fishing line through a continuous, automated process. As a complete fishing line manufacturing machine, it replaces the older batch-and-rewind setups that required manual handling between stages:

Automatic loading hopper — metered, dust-free resin feed.

Extrusion — a single-screw extruder (nitriding-treated, with pressure sensor and metering pump) melts and forces melt through a spinneret; change spinneret holes to change line diameter.

Cooling water tank — steady-temperature bath sets the filament and keeps it soft and glossy.

No.1 drawing roller — first-stage orientation stretch.

Hot water tank — re-heats for the next draw stage.

No.2 drawing roller — second-stage stretch for higher tenacity.

Hot air oven + No.3 drawing roller (optional multi-oven design) — extra heating ovens produce higher-quality fishing line with tighter evenness.

Auto winder — each winding head has its own motor; fishing line is wound for hank (skein) package per customer requirement.

Diameter Range & Winding

The line produces monofilament from as fine as 0.06 mm (used for fine applications such as mascara brush) up to 2–3 mm for brush and heavy industrial grades; for fishing line, common diameters sit in the 0.10–1.0 mm range. Winding is configured to customer request — fishing line is typically wound for hank package, while trimmer line uses a dedicated large-capacity (50–100 kg) winder.
